Hawler Medical University (HMU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Kurdistan Regional Government and Iraqi Society of Nephrologists and Kidney Transplantation will held a symposium about: Update on Kidney Disease and Transplantation.

On 9 -10, May, 2007; Venue: Auditorium of Ministry of Health.

• Application will be accepted starting from 23/8/2006 and the deadline for applying is 20/9/2006.
•  The acceptance' scientific exam will be held on 24/9/2006 at the University's colleges.
• Interviews will be done in 25/9/2006 at the University's colleges.
• Applying for the graduate studies will be held at the department of scientific affairs and postgraduate studies in HMU.
• All candidates can apply regardless of their grades in their bachelor degree.  However, 60% of their acceptance grade will be based on their bachelor grade while 40% is based on the written test made for the applicants.
• Applicants for clinical sciences should have at least one year work experience as senior house officer in the related field.

HMU is one of important partners of IRI program. There are 5 consultants from IRI program who started their assignments with HMU colleges while agreements have been made with other 7 consultants and they should start their assignment during the next few months. HMU is intending to get major benefit from this program in order to fill the gaps in the education field in the colleges.
